Dr. Burns
Dr. Leah Burns was born and raised in the desert of St. George, Utah and loved spending time outdoors and exploring the wonders of Zions National Park. She had a childhood dog and cat, along with show lambs and hogs for the local livestock show, and couldn’t resist calling the neighbor’s horses her own. After graduating high school, Leah played collegiate volleyball at a junior college in Wyoming and suffered a devastating knee injury. Since then, she has developed a keen interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation for animals. She got her Bachelor’s degree at Utah State University in 2018 and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in 2024. Dr. Burns has a strong passion for integrative medicine and will be continuing to gain certifications in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (VMST), acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine.
Dr. Burns is married to her wonderful husband, Robby, and has a crazy German Shepherd, Titan, and a flirtatious cat, Harvey. In her spare time, Dr. Burns enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, playing volleyball or spikeball or pickleball, and game nights.
Dr. Burns is greatly looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pets!
